This week all proceeds from sales from my Etsy shop and my online shop www.pinkowlet.com will be donated to @pasadenahumane as a thank you for all they are doing to save animals in our community.

The Eaton fire has been devastating to our community and it’s time to help out! They need monetary donations to help with boarding and saving so many animals.

The Eaton fire has been devastating to our community and it’s time to help out! They need monetary donations to help with boarding and saving so many animals.

Fire update! Here’s my story… I live less than 3 miles from Eaton Canyon where the fire started. I smelled smoke at 6pm. I went outside and we were having winds ranging from 40 - 70 miles. Gusts were even clocked at 90 in my area. It ripped the oranges off my trees! 🙀 I saw the flickering orange glow of fire and with no hesitation I swung into action.

I got the cat carriers ready. Packed the cats stuff, my go bag, computers, and valuables into my car and parked it facing out in the drive way.

Let me tell you… DO NOT WAIT when you see the signs. It’s no big deal to put the stuff back later if nothing happens.

At midnight the fire was getting closer. McDonald’s by my house burned down. That’s when I left. The smoke was choking me. I could barely breathe. I can’t imagine how my cats were feeling so I got hem away from it.

What’s the worst that could happen right? Sure enough they evacuated my neighborhood not long after I left. I’m safe and my cats are safe. That’s what mattered to me! Bonus, my house did not burn down. It somehow missed my neighborhood. So my studio is still there.

The air quality and water is pretty dicey right now so I will return in a few days. But sadly, many of my favorite cafes, restaurants, and shops in Altadena are gone. Not to mention so many people in my community who lost homes. All I have to say is that I am so grateful that I can come back.

Let’s give a shout out to last year’s shows! 2024 was a year of vending at many exciting shows. Last year I exhibited at the Cat Fanciers Association Food and Water Bowl in San Diego, Jackalope Art Fair, CatCon, Loving Cats Worldwide events, and more!
One of the biggest thrills for me is when people come into my booth wearing my dresses and shirts. It’s so cool to see my patterns living in the real world. The whole reason I do this is to bring joy to my customers so they can wear fun and colorful designs!

Let’s give a shout out to last year’s shows! 2024 was a year of vending at many exciting shows. Last year I exhibited at the Cat Fanciers Association Food and Water Bowl in San Diego, Jackalope Art Fair, CatCon, Loving Cats Worldwide events, and more!

Winter Owls in Mocha Mousse! The Pantone color of the year for 2025 is Mocha Mousse. I used Mocha Mousse as the background color for my owl wallpaper.

I designed this pattern to create a warm and cozy feel but still stay elegant enough for wallpaper. I love owls! I mean they are often referred to as flying cats so I feel they go well with my usual pattern designs. :)
